...a little bit about Dr. Michelle

My journey into pediatric dentistry began in the third-world country of Burma where I was born and raised. My dad’s dental clinic was in the backyard of our house! As he prepared to see patients, my sister and I would explore and play with his dental tools. We have fond memories of playing in our backyard as dad’s patients waited to see him. From observing my dad care for his patients, I knew that I also wanted to pursue dentistry at a young age.

When I was nine years old, my family moved to the United States and I worked hard to achieve my dreams. I graduated college and was accepted to the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. It was then I discovered my passion for children when I volunteered for pediatric clinics. This newfound love led me to Guatemala and Colombia on pediatric mission trips! My professors and fellow dental students observed my drive and my heart for children, and I was elected President of the Pediatric Select Committee.

After graduating dental school, I began my career in the US Army Dental Corp. To further my education, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry military residency where I gained valuable restorative and surgical skills. I spent a total of four years in the Army at Fort Benning and Fort Myer where I faithfully served the young men and women of our Armed Forces. I am very proud of my service, and I gained greater respect for our military.

Upon completing my service in the Army, I immediately began pediatric dental residency at The Dental College of Georgia. My dream of being a pediatric dentist was finally coming to fruition!

During pediatric residency, I developed skills in advanced behavior management and gained expertise in caring for children with special needs & complex medical issues.

My commitment to excellence in pediatric dentistry was validated when I became a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. I am extraordinarily blessed to be a pediatric dentist, and it is my privilege to serve the children of Georgetown, Round Rock, and surrounding areas!
