My journey into pediatric dentistry began in the third-world country of Burma where I was born and raised. My dad’s dental clinic was in the backyard of our house! As he prepared to see patients, my sister and I would explore and play with his dental tools. We have fond memories of playing in our backyard as dad’s patients waited to see him. From observing my dad care for his patients, I knew that I also wanted to pursue dentistry at a young age.

After graduating dental school, I began my career in the US Army Dental Corp. To further my education, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry military residency where I gained valuable restorative and surgical skills. I spent a total of four years in the Army at Fort Benning and Fort Myer where I faithfully served the young men and women of our Armed Forces. I am very proud of my service, and I gained greater respect for our military.
